The person who left you the booklet set it up themselves and paid for it, so this moment would be easier for you. It isn't a scam, and it isn't junk mail.

We will never ask you for money or passwords

Reaching the folder is free for you. Kinfolder will never ask you to pay, or for your bank details or passwords, to release what was left for you. You only ever confirm your own identity.

Only you, and only when it's time

Nothing was shared until the right moment, and access is given only to the person who was chosen — after a careful check that it's really you.

How to get access

Download the Kinfolder app

It's free, for Mac and Windows. Everything happens safely inside the app, on your own device.

Set up a passkey

Create a passkey with your face, fingerprint or device PIN. That's how we know it's really you — no passwords to remember.

Enter your code

Choose “I've been given access,” then enter the code from your email or booklet. Once it's released, everything left for you opens.

I received a booklet — what do I do?

Turn to the page that names a trusted person. If that's you, follow the three steps above to reach the folder. If it isn't you, please pass the booklet to the person named.

Do I have to pay anything?

No. Access is free for you. The person who set up Kinfolder already paid the one-time fee. We will never ask you for payment to release what was left for you.

I've lost the access code

Don't worry — email us at help@kinfolder.com. We can verify your identity another way and help you reach the folder.

How long does access take?

Usually just a few minutes once you start the identity check. Some careful releases are set to take a little longer on purpose, as a safeguard — the page will tell you if so.

I'm worried this might be a scam

That's a sensible instinct. The safest thing is to ignore any link you're unsure about and come directly to www.kinfolder.com/help, or email help@kinfolder.com. We will never ask you for money or passwords.

This was set up by mistake, or the person is fine

No problem at all. Nothing is released without the deliberate steps above. Email us and we'll sort it out — and the owner can change or remove anything themselves at any time.

Can I download everything?

Yes. Once you have access you can download the whole folder as ordinary files with one click — it's yours to keep, with no lock-in.
